Louis Munt

I was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, currently studying for a Bachelor of Creative Media Production at Massey University in Wellington. I am a dreamer, and I love taking weird and wacky ideas and turning them into something. My creative mission is to bridge the gap between peoples imaginations and the real world.

One of my biggest inspirations is Weta workshop, especially their work on Avatar and the Lord of the rings. The particular areas that interested me in these films were the creatures and characters in Avatar, the big fight scenes in Lord of the Rings and the VFX creatures. Studio Ghibli were early inspirations for me as a child. It made me want to explore the genre of fantasy, the idea of bringing something imaginary to life really connected with me. Movies like Spirited away brought a sense of originality and creativity that encouraged me to explore the world of fantasy. Early inspirations for me was the Lego stop motion videos that I used to watch when I was young. It inspired me to pull out a camera and my lego and make up little stories and then film it stop motion style.
